Holy Update!

It's been over a month since I last posted, sorry guys. A new semester has started at school and I'm getting into the swing of my new school & work schedule. At times I am a little overwhelmed with my course load, but in the end I know it will pay off. I'm currently contemplating changing my major from Pre-Vet to Pre-Law. If I decide to change, I will go to Law school, possibly do criminal law & maybe one day become an ADA. Or do Environmental law. I'm meeting with an advisor at school next week to discuss my options and what I have to look forward to career wise. If I take this path, I will be done with undergrad quicker, I can go to a school closer (Texas Tech Law School is 1.5 away from us......Vet school would be anywhere from 5-11 hours away), and start making money quicker. I would still look at the option of joining either Army or Navy to practice law. I'm hoping for guidance from God to help me choose which path would make me happier.

Another major change? We are officially living in our new home! We moved in last weekend and it was a crazy crazy weekend. This house is great. No more cramped, cold apartment. Just wide open spaces in the house. Shane now has his own office (the upstairs man cave) & I have no own office downstairs. Our guestroom and is up and ready for some visitors! The dining room/kitchen is good to go, while the living room just needs some art work hung and the master bedroom is waiting on our bedroom set and art work/pictures.

Shane's mom and one of his sisters came to visit while we were moving in, they were such great help. They came just before snow hit and left just as snow was falling on Sunday. Last night it snowed yet again....total accumulation of 8-10 inches with snow drifts have been recorded at up to 24 inches. Shane's new truck got stuck in the snow last night as he came home from work.....it was quiet the sight. My work got closed for today & school was canceled. So we are spending the day updating blogs, unpacking some more boxes, sorting out laundry, doing homework, and enjoying our new home.

2010 In Review

With 2011 starting up, I'd figure I would rewind the year 2010. I got this idea from a friend (Becky), one picture per month.

So here goes nothing:
January: Our NC life packed into a moving truck. Texas here we come!
February: Heart shaped cake I make every year for my lover boy.
March: Flowers started to bloom.
April: Lots happened, so I had to do 3 pictures.
I bought a new car

I turned 21 =)

& I went on a cruise with my 2 best friends.
May: I got a new tattoo =)
June: A few things happened, so a few pictures.
Officially 30 lbs lighter

My mom came to visit. =)
July: Married for 1000 days.
August: Daddy's 60th Birthday
September: We started plans to build our own home.
October: Saying "see you later" to the best man I know, my father
November: First snow of the season
December: Our first Christmas tree.
2010 was fun and exciting, here's to an even better 2011 =)

New Year = LOTS of New Things!

Happy New Year All!! I just got back today from a week long trip in Georgia. I had soooo much fun. I was sad to leave, but ready to come back to my husband. =)
I've been like really MIA lately. Sorry. =(

The house is almost done! We move in 4 weeks (Feb 3rd), I'm soooooo ready to be in our house! Our HUGE house! Hubby and I are going furniture hunting this weekend. On the want list: 1) Bedroom set (dark cherry wood, no foot board, 4-5 pieces, and fabulous!) 2) Living room set (black leather, either a sectional or separate sofa and love seat, a big ottoman would be awesome) & 3) Dining room set (again, dark cherry, I really want a pub table that seat 4-6) The guest room and my home office will come together slowly but surely. & trust me....LOTS of pictures will be taken.

More new things: New school year, new work & school schedule (I will now be a full time student and work part time. Something I've been dreaming of), & (hopefully) new me! Last year I stuck to my resolution: I lost 35 lbs, 10 inches & 10% body fat. This year....more weight, more inches, and more percentage will be lost. =) I'm also vowing to get more organized. I seem to operate in this chaotic world....I never know where anything is. Except for when it comes to my school stuff.....my binders and folders are always neatly organized and I keep EVERYTHING! I may need the help of a professional....especially if I'm going to stick with it. =)

& Finally, New Pictures =)
Counter tops on.

Walk way from the street

Front bedroom= Guest bedroom

Cabinets are stained.

Tile is down.

Walls painted, molding painted.

Tile done, staining done, painting done.

Heaven. <3 I cannot wait to cook in this kitchen.
Dirty snowballs....I make them every year. =)

Spice-rack from the MIL! Love it!

So there you go: update, pictures, resolutions......Good bye.
